Experience

Joan joined HBA in 2019 with 15 years HR experience under her belt.  Immediately prior to joining us, Joan spent three years with World First (international payments company/foreign exchange platform) where she was Head of People Partnering across Australia.

Joan began her HR career in various recruiting roles, including for Coles Myer.  She then went on to spend nearly 10 years with Sony DADC Australia, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation, initially as HR Advisor and then as Head of HR.

Joan’s experience has seen her become a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders within the businesses she has operated in.  She is experienced in areas including HR mapping for long-term business success, learning & development programs and strategic counsel to senior stakeholders. She is currently completing a master’s degree in Human Resource Management.

At HBA Joan focuses on strategic HR projects and provides invaluable counsel to senior leaders.
