Claudia Antoniazzi
Claudia primarily acts across HBA’s personal injury practice, with a special interest in medical malpractice. She acts for a variety of insurers and government agencies and has worked exclusively in defendant insurance law since her admission in 2020.
In the medical malpractice arena, Claudia has considerable experience acting for both public and private hospitals, health practitioners and allied health professionals. She currently works across civil liability claims, but also has experience in professional conduct matters before the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Health Complaints Commissioner (HCC).
In addition to her experience in health law, she boasts significant experience in compulsory third party motor claims in Western Australia, public liability claims, workers’ compensation, professional indemnity, employment law and criminal injuries compensation.
Claudia is experienced in all stages of litigation from being an instructing solicitor at trial, through to attending pre-trial conferences, mediations, directions hearings and case management conferences. She takes the time to listen to her clients’ concerns and is focused on achieving the best possible outcome in a timely and cost effective manner.
Prior to HBA, Claudia spent much of her junior and intermediate years with McCabes and Ball + Partners. She holds a Bachelor of Laws with Distinction from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Law and Society) from the University of Western Australia. Claudia was admitted as a solicitor in 2020.

- Acting on instructions for large healthcare entities defending claims against obstetricians, orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, general surgeons, emergency medicine physicians and ophthalmologists.
- Regularly providing advice with respect to quantum on complex catastrophic injury claims.
- Acting on instructions from a private insurer to keep a medical specialist within a specialist college.
- Assisting medical practitioners with professional conduct and disciplinary matters.
- Providing advice on complex public liability issues including dangerous recreational activities.
