Companies across Australia and New Zealand offering flexibility as the default, rather than a perk, have been named 5-star Employers of Choice by Human Resources Director magazine. HBA Legal is amongst them.
To be included on the list several criteria were analysed including fair and transparent recruitment, genuine listening, inclusive leadership, clear development pathways, financial compensation, benefits that reflect real lives, and diversity & inclusion.
“When businesses get these things right, they enjoy higher engagement, stronger retention and more resilient organisations,” commented HBA’s Chief People Officer, Joan Jreij.
The entry process for these awards comprised two steps: a submission from the business itself, followed by an employee survey, where the people within each organisation completed an anonymous evaluation of their workplace. Each organisation was required to reach a minimum number of employee responses based on overall size. Organisations that achieved a 75% or greater average satisfaction rating from employees were named 5-Star Employers of Choice for 2026.
This is not the first time that HBA has received Employer of Choice honours. Our firm has previously been included on Australasian Lawyer’s Employer of Choice list in 2019 and again in 2020.
